Have you ever experienced two world premieres at one concert? Or witnessed a performance that brings together a symphony orchestra, three choirs, a Cuban ensemble, a solo violin/violist, and a virtuoso pipa player? The Capital Philharmonic presents the first performances of Vincent DiMura’s Harmony Villa and L’Hôtel Ritz de Paris, extraordinary new works that combine diverse musical traditions, cultures, and voices. The story of L’Hôtel Ritz de Paris is bookended by two turning points in World War II history—the surrender of Paris and the liberation of Paris—and features cultural icons who were there, including Ernest Hemingway and Coco Chanel. A pre-concert Parisian cocktail hour and 1940s French fashion show complete this unforgettable Opening Night.

A pre-concert performance and lecture by the composer will begin at 6:30 PM.

Doors open at 6:15. Come early to enjoy the pre-concert, lobby art and vendors.
